My HP 6250C scanner is networkable- depending on your definition of
"networkable." You can install the scanner on a host and then scan from a
remote client (on the LAN), providing you've installed the required HP
software on both the host and on the client. Then, from the client, you can
initiate a scan on the host-connected scanner- and receive the image
directly back to the client PC. I used that arrangement a few times, but the
nuisance of going to the server area to position & reposition the material
to be scanned was just too much aggravation. From my standpoint, I'd say
that the networked configuration works (for this scanner model/software
combination- definitely not for most scanners), but for me it wasn't a great
advantage. But- I do like the scanner!
