Call Microsoft, they will replace it.
I once saw a win98 CD that was in the CD Drive when the lens blew. There was
a burn mark on the CD about the dia. of a golf ball.

One of the other techs. were I worked at the time called MS, and they
replaced it.

Sorry, I do not have the phone number that he used. You WILL need your
serial number.

Hello All
Does any one know how to fix a scratch on a CD ?
My Win98 cd got scratched by the cd-rom drive's tray (an accident),
I can see all the files with Win Explorer, but when I try to install win 98
i get errors of missing files.

I was thinking in polish the botton part of the cd with tooth paste, but i
noticed that the scracth was on the top part, it went thru the silver paint.
I will apreciate any response.

TIA
Raul Cruz
