Hi Alan,

One possibility is to download one of the free boot disks from the Free PC
Tech web site at http://freepctech.com/pc/002/files010.shtml. They have
fdisk and format on them. A Windows 98 boot disk should be OK. You can boot
from this floppy and use fdisk to delete any partitions. Once you do that,
the install CD should see the drive as being empty and allow you to
partition and format it.
