Thanks to all who have responded to my previous posts, and on with my new
problem.

For some reason after the memory test at post the computer refuses to go
anyfurther. It scans
through 16 meg of memory twice and ends up and shows 2 meg of memory ok.

If I hit escape to skipp the mem test it shows 16 megs ok. but still freezes
at the option
to enter the cmos setup (press del). I try pressing del but nothing works.

Here are the system specs:
ENPC EP-PT11 v 1.1 i430TX chipset mother board.
Award Bios (lastest version).

3D AGP VGA 2 Meg video card.

No bootable devices have been installed.

If this helps I put a HD and a floppy drive on to see if it was looking for
a bootable device,
but the same problem happens.

The Bios chip if nessary could be replaced I guess if its a problem with the
bios.

Thanks in advance for your help.
