I had a similar problem a short while ago. After a number of
times communicating with my isp tech support and other people
someone suggested placing a couple of commas ( , ) after the dial
in phone number to create a delay before. I believe each comma
creates a half second delay. What was happening was that my isp
had a delay before looking for the login info. My modem was
apparently sending the login info before my isp was ready for it.
