Have you been using the PartitionMagic third-party s/w?
Under certain conditions PartitionMagic may cause drive letters to disappear
from partitions. The simple remedy is to use the OS (Disk Administrator in
Windows NT) to reassign drive letters. (Apart from that, PartitionMagic
works fine.)
