Does anyone know how to change the 'Save' default from Documents to C: in
Win XP? I really don't want to save everything into Documents, and the
extra steps to get out of it are unwarranted, in my opinion, since I save
more in other areas.

(Documents was the default in Win98SE too, but at least I was able to
change it to C:.)

XP acts like it doesn't want you to work with folders and files. It even put
Windows Explorer WAY over in Accessories, and hid the C:. I expected to
have to make some adjustments, but they've changed the whole hierarchy, at
least in appearance.

Otherwise, though, I do love this new computer, both hardware and OS. (And,
now my DSL DOES seem faster than dialup! Hooray - no more slow painting of
the screen!)
