I just got my new computer and the CD Recordable/ReWriteable drive records
like a gem! I only have ONE problem - When I play the CD back that I
recorded, it skips several times in each song. I recorded the songs from WAV
file and I use Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4.2. I use Fugi CD-R discs. Is this
because of the disks I'm using, or is there a problem with my burner?

Hi Sarah

I don't remember if I mentioned this to you before when you asked about CD
burning software, but Adaptec Cd Creator is not the best software for
burning audio Cds. You would be better off with MusicMatch Jukebox or Nero
Burning Rom 5.0. I believe I did recommend these programs to you before.
When burning a CD it is always better to close all programs that are running
in the background. Since you say that you can burn a CD with no problems
tells me that you don't suffer from buffer underruns, so this might not be
necessary in your case. However, when burning a CD you should close your
Antivirus program and any utilties that you may have running, such as Norton
Utilities or Systemworks, and disable the screensaver. You shouls also not
be doing anything on your computer while it is burning a CD, your system
should be dedicated to just the CD burner.
