I have been running DirectX 6.0 drivers since they were in early beta.  I
had only one problem and that was long before the official version was
released.  It was difficult for me to notice a difference on my backup
Windows 98 partition (which is where I installed the beta), but on my main
partition I noticed a big game speed increase after installing the final
release.  This was mostly noticed with games that have 3D acceleration.

Otherwise, I haven't had a problem with anything I can think of.
