Hi

The answer to download belarc advisor is a good one if the unit is running
and has windows on it.
a few other ideas:

again if working, and the system has a later version of windows on it, in
the device manager under systems, it some times tells you the processor and
if it is a mobile or not on the page where the users name is listed.

Find the website of the Notebook manufacture and look the model specs up.

Had you posted the make and model, in your original post, an answer may of
come from the list.

Thanks and have a Great Day!

Hi
I know there are some notebook manufatures who simply use on their
equipments, the same cpus we use in a desktop PC (intel I mean). Others use
cpus specially designed for notebooks.
How could I determine, without opening the notebook, what kind of CPU, eg.
p4 2.4 ghz, is inside?
TIA
