Looks like there might have been "blank lines", (carriage returns),
in your autoexec.bat Other answers mixed in...

I "seldom" got all the "C's but,
A couple of mine do it. It is "wanting to" show me something...
"Usually" I have put in a "switch" on a driver or something for a screen
display of some info.

No, on the ver B upgrade... While it is technically possible to _force_ an upgrade,
neither MS or I recommend it, or support it. (I did it. This machine is running it.)
You must buy it as "new" with a major piece of hardware and be dumb enough,
lazy enough, or ADVENTURESOME enough to try the forced upgrade path...
You loose the biggest major benefit (for me) of Win95b, (FAT32), doing it that way...
(That can be fixed with more money, time, and effort...)
I did this a very long time ago... They might be very hard to find anyway...

There are many patches available for the original version of Win95.
Last time I looked, I have maybe twenty or thirty... That is on other machines.
Some of "those" patches are not necessary on Win95b.
SOME of the patches I use are listed at:
http://www.walbeehm.com/win95upd.html
This is a very good source for "older" information about Win95 systems...
         Good luck, Rick Glazier
