Hi all,

I have a brand new Zoom internal 56k dualmode modem, Model 2919, that I
have installed as a NON-PNP modem set (via the jumpers) to COM3. I have
set it up this way so all my operating systems can co-exist peacefully and
still use the modem. I currently am running Windows 98, Red Hat Linux 5.2,
NT 5.0 beta (Windows 2000) and some older versions of Windows.

The problem I have having is with Windows 98 only. After using 98 and the
modem, if I warm boot the machine and then try the modem again I get a "Com
Port Open" error. If I cold boot this problem does not occur. And as I
said, on the other partitions this problem does not exist on a cold or warm
boot at all.

Anyone have any ideas?

TIA.

Eric
