I am having a problem with my Logitech USB Optical mouse. It will lockup suddenly (for unknown reason). sometimes I hear 1 beep before it locks up and then a single beep after that (no error message and no indication of conflict in System Devices).

I have tried reloading the mouse drivers but to no vail, same thing happens again during use of a different program. Rebooting is the only way to reactivate the mouse. Lockup can occur at any time.

I am using XP Professional, 512meg memory.

Any suggestions?

Alan
