Most of the larger "monitors" are actually TVs. A TV does not have as good a
display resolution as a true computer monitor. I would look for a monitor
that has a native resolution of at least 1920 by 1200. The quality of
display will be better than the TV with a 1080p display.

I've been looking at TVs and monitors to go with my most recent build.
I'm running xp pro sp3 with pentium quad core, 8gig ram and a
Creative/Audigy 7.1 sound system. The video card is a basic 512mb pcie that
I will have to upgrade to match my needs.
