I do believe you, I ran my thunderbird 1 gig at 93*c, due to a heat sink
that wasn’t fitted properly, I contacted the company that I got the
motherboard, and cpu from and they just swapped it out for a new set,
which was really good since it was my fault that I overheated it.

Subject: Re: [PCBUILD] Max CPU Temp

Okay you are not going to believe this but the max temp for an amd
thunderbird / duron is 90*c However you can expect it to not live long .
Max
recommended temp is 60*c . Your reference is here.
http://www.icrontic.com/faqs/amd/AMD_FAQ/cooling.php
Then again you can alway read it at AMD's page .Note Adobe acrobat is
needed. http://www.amd.com/products/cpg/athlon/techdocs/pdf/23794.pdf
