Patrick,
        It might be a Newcom modem, but that chipset is also on a modem I have.
The modem I am talking about is a Jaton 33.6 Voicemodem.  I have one that
was built into my AcerOpen system.  I have the drivers and if you need
them I might be able to transfer them to you by ICQ if you have that.
Are you running Win95 or Win3.1?  I have drivers for both.
