In my opinion, trackballs are easier to use (once you learn/adjust to
them) and require less physical movement of the operator's arm/wrist/hand.
But on the down side, they require much more maintenace (cleaning) than a
mouse.  Consider that the ball is mounted on the top.... therefore it sits
in a "cup" type socket which collects dust and debris as it settles down
out of the air.

PS.  What are all those lines in your sig?  Is it supposed to be
something?
