Greetings, List!!

Been following the list for a while, but this is my first post so please bear with me.

I have a P6SET-ML mobo running Win98 and want to install an HP SureStore 4020i Scsi card mounted CD Writer, but everytime I try (5 times so far) the end result is a the blue screen lockup effect. Any ideas? Don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in Advance, peoples.
