Howard,

Both of the machines you are using have older BIOS versions, they can not
"see" above the infamous 504MB ceiling.  You have two choices, purchase a
BIOS upgrade or use a disk manager program to "fool" the BIOS.

You should be able to find the disk manager you need at:
http://samsungelectronics.com/support/downloads/index.html
you will need to find the full model number of the drive before you go
there.
