As per many suggestions from experts on the list, I have checked and
rechecked the jumpers many times on this Biostar motherboard. It is set
for a 233 (3.5 multiplier and 66MHz bus). The motherboard is rated for
an Intel 233 and before the last two weeks always reported it as a 233.
I also have the latest BIOS update on the board (model M5ATA). It seems
really odd that this would happen all of a sudden. Does anybody know
how the motherboard reads the to see what it is? Is it possible that
the chip overheated and is reporting a slower speed now?

My next step is to use a program to report the speed of the CPU. If
it still reports a 233, I think I'll tell them to not worry and save for
their next upgrade.
