I Built a Computer 3 weeks ago with a DURON 700 using the Microstar K7T Pro
Motherboard, and it has run with absolutely NO Problems... The machine can
be upgradable all the way up to the fastest ATHLON Thunderbird... (It
is running Windows ME, Windows 98, and Linux Caldera 2.2... With No
Problems)
The Duron is the Best Bang for the Buck on the market...

Subject: [PCBUILD] AMD Duron Chip - Pro's and Con's

Good day,

I am looking at a low end system upgrade and from what I have seen the best
price/performance buy at this time is a system built around the AMD Duron
cpu. This cpu was developed to compete with Intel's Celeron and from what I
have read it blows the Celeron away. Are there any unknown (to me)
software/hardware conflicts when using the Duron?

Regards,

Anthony Power
