Hello Listers,
I have been trying to help a friend figure out a problem, which has me
puzzled as well.

Here's the scenario:
He bought a new Sony DVD+RW Burner, when he tries to burn a CD it will
burn all the way up to 97% and then give an error message saying that he
needs to clean the disk or try other media; he has done both things. We
went back to Windows Media Player 10 from WMP 11 with the same results.
I then took the drive out of his computer, put it in mine and had
absolutely no problems burning a CD. Everything functioned as it should
have. So I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas as to what may
be causing the drive not to burn on his rig.

His system: Biostar motherboard, 768mb of RAM, AMD 2Ghz processor, and
Windows XP Home.

Hopefully, someone will have an idea of how we can correct this
problem. Anyways, thanks in advance.

Donnie
