Hi,

Unfortunately in the age of commercialism there is really no "normal" or
standard to go by.

Some boards/BIOS's may test only once, twice, or 3 times.  Each board
manufacture
can have different ways of  doing things.  What you can do is check the
BIOS
and see if there is any settings regarding the memory testing and try to
change what
might be there.  Again some brands may and some may not have such
settings available.

Thanks David, what I wanted to know was whether it was usual for the
memory test to run thrice...could you tell me what are the three tests?
