If your student has an energy saver compliant monitor, it should come
back on when booting up. If it does not it is monitor dependent not
BIOS/computer/OS dependent.

A student of mine has a Compaq 5020, and would like the monitor to turn
on
when she starts the computer. It shuts off automatically with Win98
Shutdown. Is there something in the BIOS that will allow it to come
on?

TIA
