Did you try deleting a non-dos partition? I haven't had any problems
deleting NTFS partitions. I do it every time we get a laptop in with XP on
it :P

I would like to delete my primary partition and repartiton the hard drive
for two primary partitions and an extended partion with logical drives for a
linux/win2k dual boot system.

I am used to dos and fdisk, but I cannot delete the primary win2k partition
using a win98se boot disk. The drive is currently formatted NTFS.
