       This happened to me. Check the brand of chipset on your mobo.My Diamond
was only compatible with intel chipsets and I was trying to install it on a
board with an "Ali" chipset. I swapped the card with a machine that had an S-3
Virge with an intel chipset, and moved the S-3 to the affected machine and
both now work fine!!
