No, the Windows installer should handle it all. Just make sure you do the
right thing in the partition manager of the install disk. Windows being
installed on drive letter d won't cause any problems for Windows, however,
there is some poorly written software out there that has problems with it.
I think if you remove the c drive completely it should still boot 2000. You
may have to remove 98 from the boot menu. I'm not entirely sure that this
won't break it though. For it to work, there has to be an exact copy of the
boot loader and mbr on both drives, and I'm not sure how Windows
handles that. There's no harm in trying, I'd love to know what happens
(someone else may already know).
