Paul,
     I had a similar problem with the new HP Pav. 7840
I recently bought. It came with Win. ME and I hated
it! I purchased Win98 S/E and after installing it, I
used the last disk in HP Recovery Pack (disk 3of3) and
saved each driver I needed to desktop then loaded each
individually. It's a pain but now I have my pers. Fav.
