How do you tell if you have a corrupted registry? If not that what about a
virus or absolutely no RAM available?. I have run Scandisk twice from
Windows and once from DOS and it comes back with no errors. I used Defrag
then I ran Inoculate It it says no viruses. But something is still wrong
because when I first turned the computer on it sounds funny like click,
click, click, stop, click, startup wav sounds like its skipping -
"Wel,wel, wel, welcome to the re,re,re,real world." Inoculate It starts its
scanning slowly then it speeds up finishes and I'm at the Desktop. I did
get connected to the Internet and downloaded mail but I tried bringing up
Netscape but when it gets to "Loading Plugins" it stops responding and I
have to use Ctrl, Alt, Delete and I then end task. Tried removing Netscape
from the Control Panel and then reinstalling but setup stops responding.
Also, the mouse is moving in a jerky fashion occasionally and then it'll be
fine and working like normal. I have in the past couple of days been
downloading some calendar and scheduling programs but I haven't found
anything I like so I have uninstalled them through Add/Remove, their own
uninstall program or by just deleting if no other way is available.

So, any ideas? I've got Windows 95 very little RAM (16MB). I do have a
start-up disk (never used before), several copies of user.dat and
system.dat on two floppy disks, my April copy of Emergency Recovery Disk on
my hard drive, and an April copy of Cfgback in my C:\Windows, but
unfortunately I don't have a Backup of everything on my hard drive and I've
never restored a corrupted registry before.

TIA
Lynn Kucera
