I plan to send the new ASUS P4B266 board back the Newegg. A search of the
web turned up a half dozen other users
of this board and other ASUS boards having the exact same problems. One guy
said his board failed to POST with a ATI Radon 9700 installed. He
installed the PRO version of the same card and bingo, POST came on/up.

I have an old ASUS P2B board. Great board. The P4B266 has made me more
interested in other MB manufacturers.

brand new ASUS mobo, why would you want to do that. They mean that in their
manual that if you can't do a POST screen in 30 seconds something is wrong.
I would NOT keep something I paid good money for that was brand new and
needed to be repaired. Return it for a new one.
