Hi I hope I can explain this adiquately....
I am trying to connect to the internet using and AMD K6-2 Pocessor running
windows 98SE with 320MB RAM and 30gb Hard drive.... I have trid using 3
different modems and 3 different ISP setups just to make sure it is not the
modem or the ISP.

What happens is as follows:
I click on dial... I hear the modem click and then dial...it finishes
dialing and then I get an error from the dialer... AOL says "Modem is unable
to make a connction". Another ISP says...No answer and the third one says,
unable to locate your modem (After I hear the modem dialing)

Can someone please help me narrow down what the problem could be or even
outrightly come up with a solution.

I tried the following modems:

1. Intel HAM 56K V92 Fax Voice Modem (PCI)
2. Intel 5687 V92 56K modem (PCI)
3. SimmSmart II V90 56k Modem (External)

Thanks for your help

Mel Mofya
