Computer Lockup druring DVD play

I am having trouble with my computer while playing a DVD movie or DVD-ROM
game that the computer during the middle of a movie or a movie seqence in a
DVD-ROM game freezes.  I can't use ctrl-alt-del or anything to break the
freeze. I have to press the restart button  to restart the computer.

Computer specs:
Pentium 233MMX on ENPC PT11 v1.1 motherboard
64 Megs of SDRAM
Creative Encore Dxr2 PC-DVD Rom Drive (2nd Generation-2x DVD 20x CDROM)
    recently purchase.  Includes Decoder Card
ATI All in Wonder Vid card (4MB)
Seagate 4.3 GB HD
Ide Zip Drive(internal)
OS: Windows 98
