network ( LAN ) problem

I have two PCs connected with a cat5 crossover cable. Computer "a" will
recognize computer "b" and I can transfer files from Computer "a" to
computer "b", but computer "b" will not recognize computer "a".  I believe
all network settings are correct - same workgroup, etc.  Any ideas about
what I am missing?
