I had the same question about a Pavillion some weeks ago and someone recommeded TweakUI.  Never tried it.  However, I just had to use the HP recovery CD on that PC (after a format of HD) and now notice no HP logo upon bootup.  Go figure.

  I am booting from a floppy drive and this still happens.
  This startup disk was made from a different win98 machine.
  Would the same advice apply? i am thinking that this is in the
  unchangeable part of the bios. Or in the ROM Code.
  What do you think?
