Yeah-

I forgot to mention that the implication was that this was going to happen
with manufacturers who made mobos using the VIA chipset, not just Aopen and
Epox. Apparently the ALI chipset hasn't gone over that well, so Intel's not
interested.

My source mentioned Aopen and Epox because they deal in those brands.

And, as I said, this is just an interesting example of the machinations
that probably go on behind the scenes all the time, and of which the
consumer is kept ignorant.

Or maybe I'm a paranoid fool ...... :)
