Hi,

The simple solution is to leave the Dot Matrix connected to the existing
computer and Share it.
For Dos to be able to see the Printer you will have to Map a LPT port Number
to it just as if you
had it directly connected to the other printer X number of feet away.

Unless you planned on using the HP with the DOS program you wouldn't need to
set up an LPT port,
since Win9x can see printers with the UNC(universal naming convention)
sharename.

Also, be sure that you set it up so the LPT port Mapping is automattically
mapped upon login, thus saving
the user the hassle of mapping the printer themselves.
