CD Burning - Problem

I just got my new computer and the CD Recordable/ReWriteable drive records like a gem! I only have ONE problem - When I play the CD back that I recorded, it skips several times in each song. I recorded the songs from WAV file and I use Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4.2. I use Fugi CD-R discs. Is this because of the disks I'm using, or is there a problem with my burner?
