LED is just LED, is it really worth your hard earned money to fix it?  But
anyway, be careful, a lot of IDE controller cards are only designed for
HDDs, CD drivers may not work on them.  To keep your system easy to work
(less conflicts, and easy disaster recovery), I'd suggest: C on primary MB
IDE, CD and CDRW on 2nd MB IDE, D on PCI card.
