Not quite sure if this will work in your situation, but... Try going into
the control Panel, select the gaming options, click on the controllers ID
Tab, and uncheck the box for poll with interupts enabled... This has helped
for many games... Also make sure you have the latest version of Directx, you
can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/directx
