Ok, this is probably going to sound really stupid, but is there such a thing as a hub-type contraption which will convert the 'B' end of 2 usb cables into one? This would plug into the one 'B' port I am intending to use.
Like a sort of back-to-front usb hub, which usually uses the flat ends to make the connections.
I'm going on the assumption that the flat end of a usb cable is the A end and the sqare type end is the B end.
(I think I'm right)
I can get round it by using a normal usb hub and some adapters, but I want to save the need for adapters if I can.
Is there such a thing? If so, what is it called.
Cutting and joining the two cables into one was my first thought, but I'm not sure how well that would work.
Hopefully, I've explained myself properly here, as I'm sure most people I've asked so far think I'm completely mad!
Am I right in assuming data runs both ways through a usb cable? I would have thought the answer is yes, but I just want to double check. I can't see that it wouldn't.
This is an experiment I've wanted to try for a while.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanx in advance
Michele Sayer
