Hi.
As far as I know, standard MMX233 uses needs 66 MHz at the
mobo and 3.5 multipliers. Since 3.5 is a fifth possibility
(not available initially with two multiplier pins), Intel's
decission was to assign 3.5 to multipliers at 1.5. So,
unless your mobo manual shows the way, try your multiplier
pins at 1.5.
If you want to overclock, try the mobo at 75 MHz. I tried
once, with success. The bios showed 266 MHz, instead of 262
or 263 (3.5x75=262.5: it wasn't good doing multiplications).
It didn't work reliably at 3x83.

  Starting point: (-1)^(-1) = -1
  Applying logarithms: (-1)*ln(-1) = ln(-1)
  Since ln(-1) <> 0, dividing: -1 = 1 (ln(-1) is
complex, but exists)

There have been, I believe, two versions of the 233. One
runs at a
3.0x multiple and a 66MHz bus, so it wants the same clock
jumper
settings as an Intel 200 MHz.
The more common version wants a 2.5x multiple and a 75 MHz
bus. If
you motherboard doesn't have a 75MHz bus option, it *may*
work at
3x66 -- or you may have to drop to 2.5x66 = 166 MHz.

  Probably...
