  On such a small network, NetBEUI may actually be faster than
TCP/IP.  Sq while you could "return to TCP/IP", I don't have a lot of
confidence that that will fix your problem.

  When you notice slowdowns, are the always between the same pairs of
machines?  When I have seen cases like this (more than once...), it
has been traced to excessive error retransmits due to damaged cables.
