I like to tinker, and would do some more checking before I replaced the
router:
1. See if Linksys has a firmware update. (What's the OS?)? How many
computers?
2.Try a different port on the router.
3.Try a different ethernet cable.
4. The router address is 192.168.1.1 This brings up a web page, and you
can create a shortcut for future use. If you haven't changed any
settings, all should be OK, but it can't hurt to check. The default
password is "Admin". Change this while you're at it.
5. Run/cmd/ping 192.168.1.1 will ping the router. My modem has a web
address also, where I can check its status.
Linksys KB article ID 170 will help: The URL doesn't copy easily. I
searched on your model no., "Lose connection".
