This is not necessarily a function of Windows 95, regardless of version,
but rather a combination of Win95 power management AND APM on your
motherboard.  Check your CMOS settings and your motherboard manual.  If
your motherboard is not capable of auto shutdown or suspend, then
there's nothing you can do except get a motherboard that is capable.
