Since both replies to my message so far have mentioned removing the 3com NIC
I'm wondering if there is some "confusion" when he's trying to install the dial
up adapter.  Maybe the system is looking for him to install the 3com NIC first?
In any case, I will have him try all the suggestions, as well as physically
remove the 3com card.  Also, I know there is a new version of dial up networking
out there somewhere.  I've poked around on Microsoft's site, but can't seem to
find it.  Does anyone know where it is?  Would it be wise to get the new version
of this??
