Hello,
Recently, I attempted to install a Windows ME upgrade on my computer
(P600, 128 meg of ram, 32 meg video card) For some reason, a hardware
conflict caused the install to fail, and I had to reinstall Windows 98 SE.
Well after I got everything reinstalled, my computer hasnt really been the
same since. Games used to run very smoothly before the reinstall, but now,
games that are supposed to be able to run on a P166 are somewhat choppy. I
feel like I have lost a considerable amount of performance, and it seems
like the hard drive and the processor are running constantly. I have
defragged numerous times, and run scan disk with the surface scan, and
nothing seems to be the problem. Any help on how to get my computer back to
the way it used to be would be great.
