First thing that I would do is boot the machine and see if you get into the
bios and reset all items to the default settings.

Subject: [PCBUILD] laptop stops working

I have a Inspiron E1705 with windows xp. I was running and the screen
started to have wavey lines across it and then it turned black. I shut it
off. When I try to turn it on now the power comes on but nothing else
happens. What can I do.
