I jave a K7 Triton GA-7VT600 moptherboard with 256MB ram. I purchased another 256MB RAM (same exact type) and installed it. System does not recognize 512MB, only 256MB. Tested new RAM module by itself - works fine. One two occassions after reinstalling new RAMJ, system booted up as 512MB but immediately rebooted back to 256MB. BIOS on motherboard auto recognizes RAM.

Any suggestions on how to get system to recognize 512MB? Running Win XP Professional.
