Well, I heard of one that constantly seeks the head while someone is
accessing the disk. The symptoms will be a grinding noise and extremely
slow data transfer. Eventually, this will damage a drive since a servo
that drives the head has a life span. I think this virus would be
detected by any antivirus program that is at least 5 years old...
