Hi,
        What I would.  Look at the PIO modes of all three drives (HD and
CD's)  This comes up on my computer right before starting Win95, so if
you miss it before Win95's splash screen press <esc>.  Place the middle
PIO mode on the control with the closer of the other two. (for example,
if your HD is Mode4, your CD has Mode1 and your CDR has mode2.  Place
the HD on Primary Master, the CDR Secondary Master and the CD Secondary
Slave.  If the CDR has Mode3, then place it as the Primary Slave and the
CD as Secondary Master).
